Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster Reunite

Futurism and craftsmanship collide in the new 17-piece collection.

In the last year, Gentle Monster has quickly become one of fashion’s favorite eyewear labels, and alongside the futuristic design, unique creative approach and, let’s face it, virality-inducing packaging, it’s the collaborations that have helped to make the brand stand out. As a result, Gentle Monster just announced the next phase of its collaborative collection with Maison Margiela, resulting in new temple-less designs, leather frames and colorways.

Leaning into the eyewear label’s hyper-realistic aesthetic, the new genderless collection is accompanied by a dreamy campaign which takes inspiration from Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2024 Co-Ed collection, captured by photographer Jordan Hemingway. Fusing futurism with quality craftsmanship, the new collection includes acetate frames in black, white, grey, cream, tortoiseshell and a transparent hue, alongside leather frames in black, ivory, khaki and blue.

The new, voluminous silhouettes wrap around the contours of its wearer’s eyes and nose and come complete with silver and white Glam Slam eyewear cases.

Check out the new campaign above before the collection launches on March 7 via pop-up spaces across the world.
