The London Edition To Host "Sex Talks" for International Women's Day

The London Edition hotel announces the return of “Sex Talks,” for International Women’s Day

The often-sold-out-event returns, this time with award-winning comedian Sara Pascoe. Titled after the hit podcast by Emma-Louise Boynton, Sex Talks discusses the experiences of women from sex to relationships and the future of intimacy. “This International Women’s Day, we’re joined by award-winning comedian, Pascoe, as we turn our attention to the things that truly matter to us as humans – sex, power and, of course, money,” Boynton hilariously wrote.

Diving head first into the topics society considers taboo, Boynton ins’t holding back this IWD — and she urges you not to either. “We’ll be exploring the topic of sex through the prism of evolutionary psychology, sex work, pornography, polyamory, patriarchy and even capitalism,” she continued. The two-and-a-half hour chat will dissect “how capitalism shows up in the bedroom, how money shapes modern day relationship dynamics and why some women still want men to buy them dinner. I also want to know why people don’t care about the welfare of the people they masturbate to; why there remains so much stigma around those who work in the sex industry; and I REALLY want to know how patriarchy effects how and who we fuck.”

What’s the vibe? “Bring a hot date, bring a friend date, bring the women you want to celebrate IWD with and join us for an evening of sex and comedy, comedy and sex.” Also ongoing for the month of March, is the hotel’s “Monthly Digestif” with Hassan Akkad, Kemah Bob and Kat Sadler, and “Art After Hours” with Ashleigh Kane.

Purchase tickets to “Sex Talks” on Eventbrite for£20 (approx $25 USD).
