Nadia Lee Cohen's 'Women' Gets a Bootleg Makeover
Introducing the pirate edition.
Renowned fashion photographer and all-around icon, Nadia Lee Cohen, is releasing an all-new edition of her best-selling Women book, with a twist. Launching with IDEA Books, the new offering is a “smashed and rehashed version” of the special book, appearing as a “Pirated Edition.”
Art directed by Charlie Denis and appearing in the style of Japanese cine-icons, the book features a behind-the-scenes look into Cohen’s unique process alongside snippets from her films, sculptures and some of her biggest projects. Featuring posters, flyers, impressions and torn tear sheets, the book acts as a backstage pass to one of the greatest creative minds of our generation.

Alongside its Japanese fan-inspired design, the book appears wrapped in an OBI band designed by Verdy, the artistic mind behind Tokyo-based brand Girl’s Don’t Cry, alongside some of BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink” tour merchandise. To start with, Cohen’s Women will be released in a limited run of 750 copies, taking place at a special launch and signing at Dover Street Market Ginza on April 5.
Following its initial launch, the book will see a wider global release with stockists still to be announced.
