Launching May 16, Feeld dating app announces a new feature.
Celibacy is the apps new desire style, stamping a new wave in the dating space. Following the news of Bumble‘s anti-celibacy ad, dating apps are finding new ways to empower women and help them connect with like-minded people.
According to Feeld, “Recent conversations this week around celibacy have revealed the role it plays in people’s lives and how this choice can be perceived. With that, Feeld has always been about exploring yourself beyond external expectations. It’s about having breathing room to change, evolve, and grow into your you-est you.”
Celibacy has long been a lifestyle for people of all walks of life, celebrities included. However, after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, many Gen Z and Millennial women — even us at Hypebae — have chosen celibacy as a form of reproductive right.
The new Celibate Desire allows women to communicate “their intimacy choice with potential Connections, while also giving them the option to filter and find those that have also selected the shared Desire option,” the brand shared. “In order to access the Celibate Desire tag, Members will need to access the latest version of the Feeld app.”
