How to Elevate Self-Pleasure, According to The Oh Collective
TOC shares their top tips for Masturbation May.
In celebration of Masturbation May, we had to tap our favorite sex and pleasure experts: The Oh Collective. Meet founders Diana Lim, Simona Xu, Winxi Kan and Eden Chiang.
If you’re unfamiliar with our favorite baes, TOC is the epitome of by the girls, for the girls. In 2020, these four besties decided to leave their jobs at Nike and dedicate their careers to sexual wellness. What inspired the switch? Oh, you know, the usual — conservative cultures that ignore an important detail: women deserve pleasure, too!
From a selection of sexologist-approved products to Shibari — ahem, Japanese rope bondage — events, TOC is the safe space for women. Inspired by their Asian heritage and now, full-time lives in Amsterdam, they noticed women were only allowed to discuss sex in relation to childbirth. Now, they’ve come to believe that “sexual wellness is crucial to well-being” and every element of their brand reflects that truth.
On their episode of Servin’ Sex, Hypebae’s sex podcast, the collective dove into their origin story and dropped a world of pleasure knowledge for beginners, couples and more. To listen to their juicy story, tune in below.

Eden Chiang
Offering a tip we could all use, Chiang says, ”We all live busy lives and self-pleasure can feel time-consuming, so my tip would be to use the 5-15 minutes right after you wake up for a moment of pleasurable solitude.” You can pleasure yourself “with your hands or a toy like The Oh Collective CHI. Instead of snoozing or lying in bed scrolling the phone, try self-pleasure instead. You’ll feel so much more energized and get after the day!”
Diana Lin
“Remember to take your time to let it build up for a deeper full-body Oh!” Lin shared. “Rubbing my hands together so they get warm and putting them in areas that I feel need calming energy,” is her go-to. For example, the “eyes, ears and chest, then stimulating erogenous zones such as the nipples and surrounding areas. Then move down to the clitoral area using hands or toys,” she continued.

Simona Xu
As for Simona, “Getting in the mood isn’t one-dimensional,” she stated boldly. “I love the interplay between reading a sexy story and the anticipation of enjoying it. Use the ‘schedule send’ or ‘send later’ option in your email to send yourself an erotic tale for when you know you’ll need it most. I’ve scheduled these as little gifts for myself after stressful days or before a date night to enhance the mood. They really help shift my focus. Together with my trusted CHI, it never fails to get me in the mood for some self-pleasure time.”
Winxi Kan
Lastly, Winxi’s tip is simple and to the point: “Lube it up,” she said. “Lubricant is like a secret weapon to supercharged pleasure, especially our tingling lube, Joy Jelly. Start with just a dab. Seriously, this stuff is potent! Rub it in gently, and let it work its magic. It has this amazing tingle that’ll have you on the edge of your seat, practically begging for more.”
