Everything You Need to Know About Jennie's Cobalt Blue Met Gala Moment

BLACKPINK member Jennie made a splash at this year’s Met Gala, stepping out onto the green carpet in a stunning cobalt blue, cut-out dress. Making her debut at the iconic event in Chanel last year, the K-pop star’s follow-up ensemble was going to be hard to top, but it’s safe to say that blue is most definitely her colour.
The outfit arrived courtesy of ALAÏA, who created a draped gown with cut-out torso detailing, complete with a dainty pearl chain belt. Jennie wore her hair in a chic updo and paired the bright blue dress with matching blue heels. According to ALAÏA, the custom-made asymmetrical dress was designed by Pieter Mulier and took over 200 hours to create.
Crafted from 13 meters of crepe georgette fabric and embellished with a chain that featured natural baroque pearls and matching jewels, the dress was inspired by the looks presented during the brand’s Summer-Fall 2024 show.
