Sandy Liang Takes Salomon's XT-Whisper for a Soft Pink Spin
The duo’s third collaboration lands this month.
Back in December, Salomon Sportstyle delved deep into its archives to revive the archival XT-Whisper silhouette. Now, the Y2K-inspired shoe is getting a Sandy Liang makeover. Building on the duo’s ongoing collaboration, the new release marks their third team-up and aims to blend outdoor functionality with contemporary design.
“The XT-Whisper is one of my favorite silhouettes from Salomon’s archives, and I loved the challenge of reimagining it through a fresh, modern lens,” said Sandy Liang in a press release. “This collaborative design reflects my love for outdoor adventures paired with the practicality and ease of my everyday city life,” she adds.
The new sneaker arrives in a feminine pink colorway, complete with contemporary accents of striking silver. Leaning into Liang’s signature aesthetic, the traditionally outdoor-inspired silhouette boasts delicate new details, featuring textured layers and a mixture of matte and shiny finishes alongside its typical technical elements.
