STAUD Sport Takes You From the Runway to the Court

The collection introduces a new era for the label, so you can stay active and look good doing it.

Fashion and fitness girlies are becoming one and the same these days, as the two industries continue to converge. Major labels are debuting sports-informed ranges and runway inspiration has heavily tapped into the athletic industry — offering collections that allow you to suit up in style. LA-based label STAUD has caught the attention of the fashion-obsessed in seasons past, capturing the current self-expressive zeitgeist through whimsical beaded bags and chic ensembles for the girl who wants to make a timeless statement. Now, the brand has debuted its latest innovation and a first-of-its-kind for the brand: STAUD Sport.

With the integration of the sports aesthetic into many recent standout collections, the boundaries of activewear continue to expand and standard sporty silhouettes are reinvented through a more stylistic lens. STAUD ventures into this new category to present sportswear as you’ve never seen it before, because who’s to say it can’t be chic too? The pieces were designed with movement in mind, but also with a busy lifestyle in mind. Whether you’re attending a fashion show or squeezing in a fitness class amidst a packed schedule, the collection is made to move with you.

STAUD Sport builds off of the foundations the brand has established through past collaborations with other athletics brands — including New Balance and Keds — but the range also taps more into the label’s signature design codes, delivering functional pieces that don’t skimp out on style. Collection highlights include convertible anoraks, lightweight nylon jackets, ballet flats that easily pack down for those on the go and adaptable, supportive pieces, like mini dresses and skirts. The line even includes large scrunchies that double as mini bags for everyday essentials, showcasing the unexpected capabilities of the newly launched apparel and accessories.

Though they’re crafted from utility-based materials, these pieces aren’t stamped with the typical markers of “performance wear,” like bold logos, as they’re meant to blend into your wardrobe all season round. “We’ve created a collection that delivers on comfort and performance without compromising style. These aren’t just clothes for sport — they’re clothes for life, because we believe life is sport,” said Sarah “Staud” Staudinger, CEO and Creative Director of the brand.

The STAUD universe has just expanded as you know it. STAUD Sport ranges from $75 to $395 and is available online and in all STAUD stores.
