Tara Bernstein Joins made+ as Its First Brand Ambassador
Celebrating the launch of its new bangr shoe.
While pickleball has been around since the ’70s, the sport that combines elements of ping-pong, tennis and badminton, has surged in popularity in recent years. In celebration of its rise, the footwear brand made+ tapped professional pickleball player Tara Bernstein as its first-ever brand ambassador.
Founded by former Director of Design and Manufacturing at Under Armour, Alan Guyan’s aim for made+ is all about creating sustainably made-to-order footwear. “Tara embodies everything our brand stands for — performance, sustainability and innovation,” shares Guyan. “With her passion for pickleball and her unique sense of style, Tara will inspire players to move with purpose, both on and off the court.”
While Bernstein takes on her new role, she’s also a big fan of its bangr silhouette — the brand’s first pickleball shoe. Formed from six upcycled plastic water bottles, the bangr is free from excess foams and linings to keep it perfect for indoor and outdoor play. “Its commitment to sustainability, performance and style makes them perfect for my busy life filled with pickleball, travel and fashion. I admire made+’s mission and its openness to new ideas,” she explains in the brand’s press release.
