Zendaya Is the Cherry on Top of Louis Vuitton's New Murakami Drop
Merging the iconic collaboration with LV’s Resort 2025 collection.
Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami‘s era-defining collaboration is back with a bang. Marking the third and final chapter of its re-edition collection, the duo once again enlisted Zendaya to be the face. Released in celebration of the collaboration’s 20th anniversary, the third chapter revolves around Murakami’s distinctive cherry motif and highlights the Louis Vuitton 2025 Resort collection.
Comprising over 70 pieces, the collection includes bags, luggage, footwear and accessories, each revolving around the smiling Cherry motif. Standout silhouettes include the Cherry-shaped heels which appear on a pair of raffia mules, along with cherry-emblazoned versions of the Speedy, the Alma and the Side Trunk.
Elsewhere, the collection includes the classic Pochette Accessoires, the Sunset and the Keepall 45 silhouette, along with unique iterations like a bicycle, hand fan and deck chair. Footwear lands in the form of the Maya platform sandals, Cherry-embroidered white sneakers and sandals, plus the aforementioned Cherry 3D heel, which features on the Cherie and the Lily. Rounding out the seasonal offering is a slew of bag charms and silk squares.
Following on from round two, Zendaya appears in the visual campaign, captured amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Mediterranean Riviera. Lensed by the ever-iconic duo, Inez and Vinoodh, the campaign sees Zendaya in key pieces from the Resort drop, surrounded by life-sized versions of Murakami’s signature cherries.
