Donatella’s Final Versace Campaign Is a Real Blast From the Past

The fashion designer pulled together a truly legendary crew.

Donatella Versace decided to make quite the statement with her final Versace campaign as creative director. Not only to celebrate freedom, strength and power, but she is also ushering in a new chapter by calling on her nearest and dearest collaborators. Or, in her words, her “formidable family.”

Who’s in said “formidable family,” you wonder? Think Claudia SchifferKate Moss, Amber Valletta, Kristen McMenamy, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Anok Yai, Liu Wen, Mica Argañaraz, Mila Van Eeten and Jacqui Hooper. Photographers Mert and Marcus, who captured the Fall 2025 campaign, are also longtime collaborators of Donatella’s.

“With this campaign we tried to create something that gives a message of fun, love and looking forward,” the designer, who will take on the title of brand ambassador next, said. “It’s not only about the clothes, it’s about the spirit that is on set. These images were created with soul, they were created with friendship. Every collection is a story, and this is the story of Versace, and I’m always ready for the next chapter.”

As for the clothes? They were straight-up Versace through and through. The brand’s signature silhouettes appear alongside archival moments, all wrapped up in that signature metallic mesh. The brand’s new Virtus bag also made its debut here.

Earlier this year, and after months of speculation, Prada Group confirmed it was buying Versace from Capri Holdings for 1.25 billion Euros. In April, Dario Vitale was appointed chief creative officer, succeeding the Versace matriarch after 30 years at the helm of the brand.
