The Founder of Hourglass Launches Clean Beauty Brand

Carisa Janes has acquired Nature of Things.

Carisa Janes, known for her role as Hourglass Cosmetics’ Chief Creative Officer, is relaunching body care brand Nature of Things. As the brand enters a brand new era, Janes plans to build on the existing ethos of natural efficacy and community, while simultaneously elevating the lineup and introducing plant-based ingredients.

As a clean, non-toxic brand, Nature of Things strives to be as transparent as possible with its consumers by clearly disclosing each product’s natural origin ingredient percentage and plant-based percentage. In doing so, the brand hopes to empower beauty lovers to make conscious decisions about the products they use on the daily and offer carefully-picked ingredients that emphasize long-term skin and hair health.

When it comes to hair, Nature of Things is offering two hair duos: the Vetiver & Aloe Leaf Hydrating Hair Duo and the Sea Moss & Plum Oil Volumizing Hair Duo. While the Vetiver & Aloe Leaf Shampoo and Conditioner promise to tame frizz while restoring the scalp, the Sea Moss & Plum Oil Shampoo and Conditioner are said to add texture while hydrating your strands.

For body care, the brand is bringing the Awakening Santal Body Wash and Body Lotion, the Restorative Floral Body Wash and Body Lotion, two Body Bars, the Purifying Lavender Leaf Hand Wash and the Lavender Leaf Hand Cream. While the body washes and lotions moisturize the skin and leave you smelling fresh, the body bars gently cleanse while drawing out impurities.

The Nature of Things lineup ranges from $28 USD – $72 USD and is available for purchase on the brand’s website.
