Arsenal Women Releases "Only in the Land," a Documentary on Their Champions League-Winning Season

Arsenal Women just released a documentary series following the English giants’ triumphant UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign last season. Only in the Land, a title referring to Arsenal Women’s status as the only English club to win the prestigious European competition, chronicles an eventful year for the North London team. The 2024/25 had everything, from coaching resignations to thrilling comebacks, and all of the emotion is retold through the club’s lens.
Never-before-scene footage from the locker room and training ground gives viewers an insightful viewpoint, glimpsing into the inner workings of one of the most popular and successful women’s football teams. Narrated by former Arsenal player Jen Beattie, exclusive interviews with the team and coaching staff highlight the hard work that went into winning the trophy against all odds.
Sports documentaries are one of society’s most popular obsessions as of late, and football has no shortage of them. However, only a handful of women’s football documentaries have come out in recent years compared to the constant release of films on the men’s game. As one of the biggest culture-shifters in women’s football, if any club was going to challenge that statistic, it had to be Arsenal.
The first three parts of Only in the Land are available to watch now on the Arsenal website, with the last episode dropping on January 16.
