From ‘Wuthering Heights’ to ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2.’
There’s a lot to get excited about in the year ahead, but one thing firmly at the top of our list is the stacked lineup of movie releases coming our way. From Emerald Fennell’s much-anticipated adaptation of Wuthering Heights (which looks hot, hello Jacob Elordi) to the long-awaited The Devil Wears Prada 2, 2026 is shaping up to be a major moment for film.
Cinema is taking centre stage with a mix of buzzy sequels, on-screen debuts and original stories from some of the most exciting names in the industry. Whether you’re in it for the costumes, the cast or the cultural conversation, these are the movie releases worth adding to your calendar for the year ahead. Read on for the full debrief.
The Moment
A24
The Moment hits cinemas on January 30 and is one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. The film follows the story of a popstar navigating the difficulties of fame and industry pressures, played by our real-life pop queen, Charli XCX. The rest of the cast is also a star-studded lineup, featuring Rachel Sennott, Alexander Skarsgård and an appearance from Kylie Jenner.
Twinless

Twinless, releasing February 6, is a psychological dark comedy starring Dylan O’Brien, James Sweeney and Lauren Graham. The plot follows a young man grieving the loss of his twin and entering a support group for “twinless twins.” Taking a dark topic and turning it into a comedy that is equal parts heartwarming and grimly hilarious is no easy feat.
Wuthering Heights
BFI
Inspired by the original book by Emily Brontë, this is set to be a passionate and tumultuous love story set in the Yorkshire moors. The story follows Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) and Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie) as their destructive relationship unfolds. This is set to be intense, hot and super stylish.
The Drama
A24
Rom coms are so back. The Drama is already one of this year’s most anticipated romance movies, even though we know very little about the actual plot. The main thing you need to know is that the two love interests are played by Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. IMDB’s description reads, “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.” We’re sat.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
IMDB
This is the sequel to beat all sequels. 20 years after the release of the original The Devil Wears Prada, and with a West End musical remake in between, the day is almost upon us. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt all reunite to take us back into the world of Andy Sachs.
The Odyssey
IMDB
Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey is shaping up to be one of his biggest projects yet. Matt Damon stars as the Greek hero Odysseus, alongside Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Mia Goth, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and more. The trailer, which was released on December 22, 2025, has already amassed over 38 million views. This will be one to watch on the big screen.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he tries to leave Spider-Man behind, but a new threat endangers his friends. Teaming up with new allies and protecting the ones he loves, this is everything we look for from a Spider-Man movie. You can also expect another exciting addition to the cast as Sadie Sink now joins, following her emotional final season in Stranger Things.
Dune: Part Three

Timothée Chalamet is back on our screens for Dune: Part Three. Following the second movie’s grand spectacle and high-stakes drama, which led to critical acclaim and huge box office profits, the studios are working overtime to bring us the follow-up. The movie will likely follow the events of the second book in the series, Dune Messiah, which takes place 12 years after the events of Dune. We’re expecting another cinematic spectacle with this one.
