Kristin Juszczyk Talks Puffers, Hockey and Off Season's Team USA Collection

From NFL puffers to the slopes, Off Season’s first-ever Team USA collab is already a touchdown for the fashionable fan’s favorite brand.

Kristin Juszczyk started a fashion revolution in the sports world. Athletes have been changing the game for years now, working with top stylists and channeling their inner runway model in the tunnel on game days, but until Juszczyk came around, fans were left out in the cold.

Launching Off Season in 2025, she has quickly become one of the biggest tastemakers when it comes to game day attire. With a myriad of collaborations and licenses under her belt, from the NFL and NBA to the recently-dropped Team USA collection, Juszczyk is making sure the fans stay stylish, too.

We talked to Juszczyk about her debut Team USA collection for the 2026 Winter Olympics, the inspiration behind her designs and the events she’s most looking forward to at Milano Cortina.

When did you get into fashion design?
I got into design later in life. I’ve loved fashion and clothes my whole life, but I’m not technically trained. I didn’t go to school for fashion. I actually graduated with a business degree, and then post-grad is when I fell in love with sewing. It was a few years after graduation, and I was going to so many of my husband’s games, but I couldn’t find what I wanted to wear.

I felt like the options were limited for me, and what I wanted to wear didn’t exist. So one day I went to YouTube and learned how to sew, bought a sewing machine, started watching tutorials and it just snowballed from there. It’s been such a fun journey, but it started from a place of wanting something that didn’t exist and realizing the only option was to create it.

Could you talk me through the design process for this collection?

This is such an iconic collection, and one that we are so incredibly proud of: mainly to be able to have the trust of Team USA means the world to us since we are a startup and a new brand. I think it shows the integrity of the brand and how seriously we take these collaborations and these licenses. We started this collection off by diving into the classic red, white and blue and making sure things felt very American. It really stems from a sense of pride. When you wear this collection, when you wear Team USA, you’re wearing it with honor.

We wanted to start with that, and then from there, we wanted to put our Off Season spin on it and make it something noticeable, but we also want to make sure it’s functional. We want to make sure that these pieces are going to keep you warm and you’re going to feel comfortable in them. We really did design this collection for everyone; if you’re traveling to Milan, if you’re going to the games, or if you’re watching the games from your home.

When you first launched Off Season, did you ever imagine working with Team USA?

It’s funny because I’d like to say yes and no. I am such a big dreamer, and I never want to put a ceiling on myself and say that I never dreamt of that, because I do have big dreams, and I really do believe in this brand. I believe in myself, and I believe in everybody that I work with. So it is such an honor, but I’ve always dreamed of having these collaborations.

What is your favorite piece from the collection?
They’re all my babies. It’s like picking your favorite child. I love our puffers because they’re just the classic Off Season style, and I love that our brand is starting to create our signature look. You know when something is Off Season. So I really do love our puffers, but I know that the sherpa quarter-zip has been such a crowd favorite, and we’re really proud of the design on that one, too. It almost feels very vintage, and the fabric is so buttery and soft, but our puffer jackets will always be my favorite because that’s just the OG.

What are your biggest design inspirations?

My inspiration for Off-Season stems from game days and being a fan. That’s where this whole brand started. I go to all of my husband’s NFL games, and I always look in the stands at what people are wearing and where the opportunity lies. That’s how I got my inspiration for the jackets that have the players’ names and numbers on them. I would see so many people wearing their jerseys over their jackets in the cold. I thought there should be a jacket that you can wear and still rep your favorite player without feeling constricted.

The spirit of game day really inspires me, whether that is for the NFL, NBA or the Olympics. But I’m also inspired by everyday fashion, by seeing what’s trending and on the runways, by going out and seeing what people are wearing in everyday life. I always felt like there was an opportunity to bring fashion into sports, and both fashion and sports are merging so perfectly right now. It feels like it’s the right time for us

You’ve now collaborated with multiple leagues and teams, but what would be your dream collaboration?
I think for us, we just want to make sure that we are reaching as many fanbases as possible, and that starts with the leagues that we have right now. Because we are a startup, we haven’t been able to reach all the teams in every one of the leagues that we work with. I think it’s really important that before we run, we make sure we’re walking properly, and we can be able to access every single team that we have access to. So the goal is definitely to be able to have all NFL teams, all of the NBA, all of the WNBA. That would be the ultimate dream.

Your designs have had a major impact on the way fans dress. What do you think about the fashion-forward shift in gameday attire?

I really do think it’s a cultural shift, and it stems from the players, as well. The world is so interested in the tunnel fits, and it stems from the mentality of look good, feel good, play good. That transcends into the stands and everyday life, too. I would never go into a meeting not feeling good about how I look. It makes me feel confident, and I think that’s the same thing when it comes to game days. You want to feel your best to play your best, and it’s the same for the fans.

Fans feel just as involved in the sport as the players do and are equally, if not more, invested in the game. Fashion and sports really are just colliding so perfectly right now. I think it’s always had such an impact on fashion. We’ve seen people wear jerseys year-round, and we’re really trying to bring that into women’s fashion.

What are you most looking forward to at the Winter Olympics?
We actually have a close friend who is playing ice hockey, so we will be tuning in and rooting for him. I always look forward to all the figure skating events. That’s always my favorite. I grew up as a dancer, so to watch these incredible athletes do these insane movements and dances on the ice is always kind of breathtaking.

Where do you see Off Season in five years?

I have a lot of big dreams for Off Season, but I’m hoping that I can walk into stadiums and continue to see fans wearing the brand. That’s always been my dream, and it’s the biggest pinch-me moment. Every single time I walk into a stadium and I see somebody wearing the brand, knowing all the hard work it took to get to that moment, is so important for me. I hope that we are continuing to push the boundaries in what fans wear to games, and also giving fans exciting designs and silhouettes that are not just copied and pasted from the year before. I really am trying to bring fashion into sports and make it feel like something new and fresh every year, so I hope we can continue to grow in that way.
