Aimé Leon Dore Is Launching Its First-Ever Womenswear Collection
Expanding the brand for the first time in 12 years.
Aimé Leon Dore has announced its first fully-fledged womenswear collection is launching soon, officially bringing preppy styles and refined wardrobe essentials to the wider population. The New York City label quickly became one of the biggest names in menswear after launching in 2014. A staple of the fashionable man’s wardrobe, women are finally about to get the ALD treatment in full force.
Previous collections from the brand have featured smatterings of womenswear here and there, with a slightly unisex element to each piece of clothing that gave women freedom to shop the Aimé Leon Dore look if they wanted to. However, the brand has remained a menswear brand, with no exclusive designs made with the stylish woman in mind. 12 years after ALD’s launch, womenswear is finally touching the shop floor.
There’s no official teaser or lookbook yet, but we can expect perfectly tailored outerwear, from pea coats and trenches to classic bombers. If previous collections are anything to go by, a sporty edge might take the upcoming drop to another level, with styles inspired by soccer, rugby and baseball.
The debut Aimé Leon Dore womenswear collection doesn’t have a release date yet, but this one is coming sooner than you think. Keep an eye out for updates.
In other news, Supreme and MM6 just announced a new streetwear collaboration.
