The Jacquemus "Le Paysan" Collection Tributes Simon's Upbringing
First debuted at the Orangerie du Château de Versailles last year.
Simon Porte Jacquemus is taking us on a trip down memory lane with his latest campaign for “Le Paysan.” After debuting the collection at the Orangerie du Château de Versailles last June, the collection gets its official campaign, shot against the serene backdrop of Mont Saint-Michel.
Acting as a love letter to the designer’s upbringing in the South of France, the campaign blends the rural grit of farm life with Jacquemus‘s signature chicness, drawing directly from Simon’s family archives. Inspired by the concept of “Sunday best” and the feeling of freshly ironed cotton, the campaign channels the vibe of Jacquemus’s grandmother, and the brand’s most recent ambassador.
Elsewhere, “Le Paysan” sees the Le Valérie bag step into the spotlight as the new house icon, juxtaposing the structured silhouette with the campaign’s natural scenery.
Take a look at the campaign above and head to the Jacquemus website or its stores for a closer look at the collection.
