Inside David Koma's Mythical Jungle

Where exotic plants transform into wearable armor.

David Koma just took us on a trip into a mythical forest for Spring/Summer 2026, and this isn’t your average walk in the park. Forget delicate garden parties; Koma is serving up botany sharpened by danger, studying exotic plants like architecture to create a charged celebration of life.

The designer gathered his muses from around the world, transforming Mexican cactus dahlias, Brazilian bromeliads and South African birds-of-paradise into wearable armor. The collection oscillates between power and extreme fragility. Gowns are sliced with lethal precision, and delicate mesh is ruched with bungee cords to mimic classical garden statues. This season, trousers take center stage with oversized, fluid shapes cut in glossy satin that look effortlessly cool.

The embellishments are where things get really beautiful. Bird-of-paradise leaves crawl around the body in black patent leather and crystals, while corn husks are casually added as mythic crystal jewelry. The color palette feels like a tropical shock wave, flashing neon peach, acidic kiwi green and electric blue against deep jet-black. This is both mysterious and ethereal, and proof that nature looks great with a seductive edge.

Check out the campaign above and head to the brand’s website to shop the collection.
