Heineken Is Taking Over Oslo for the Ultimate UWCL Watch Party
With proceeds from the bar directly donated to local women’s football communities.
With the highly anticipated UEFA Women’s Champions League final between FC Barcelona and OL Lyonnes kicking off in the Norwegian capital this Saturday, longtime sponsor Heineken is serving up the ultimate watch party. Oslo is getting a healthy dose of football fever this time of year, and this is an event you won’t want to miss.
Because of local advertising rules restricting alcohol promotion in the final’s host city, the brewer pulled off a genius move instead. Heineken is still taking over Oslo, but with a twist. East London hotspot Oslo Bar in Hackney is set to host this function, bringing the same Champions League energy straight to the capital.
The event starts with the perfect pre-match party, complete with a live DJ and a special Q&A with former players Toni Duggan and Izzy Christiansen. This isn’t your average watch party, though. This is a party with a purpose.
The proceeds of every pint poured on the night will be donated directly to five local organizations — including Romance FC, Goal Diggers FC, and Baller FC — that champion women, non-binary players and LGBTQ+ visibility in the sport. On top of that, Heineken is matching and donating above and beyond sales.
Don’t miss out on a thrilling end to another women’s football season. Doors open at 4pm on May 23, and free tickets are available now on Eventbrite.
