At the 2026 Met Gala, All Eyes Were on the Nails
Our favorite sets of the night, from Sabrina Carpenter to Doechii.
The Met Gala has returned, which of course means our favorite stars wearing the most exquisite outfits. This year, the ensembles took inspiration from the theme “Fashion is Art” — and as a result, the nail looks morphed into masterpieces of their own. While the annual fundraiser is known for highlighting out-there fashion looks, nails have become an undeniable part of the festivities.
When it comes to the Met Gala’s ultra-curated designer looks, it only makes sense that beauty would play a monumental role in tying everything together. Whether its Sabrina Carpenter‘s chic black French manicure or Doechii‘s maximalist 3D set, the 2026 Met Gala has brought us a plethora of impactful nails to obsess over. Because although the night will always be about the fashion, nails are shaping up to be the most important accessory.
Ahead, we break down all of the best nails at the 2026 Met Gala.
Sabrina Carpenter
Executed by Zola Ganzorigt using OPI products, Sabrina Carpenter’s Met Gala nails harped on her dress made of black-and-white film reels. The look included a black French tip and a chrome finish for that reflective effect.
Doechii
For Doechii’s nail look, nail artist Rachel Sun used Aprés Nails products to execute a bold set inspired by unpolished crystal clusters. “The idea was to create an effect that replicated materials and textures found in nature,” Sun says.
Rosé
Rosé‘s Met Gala look included delicate, soft blush nails. Nail artist Betina Goldstein relied on Aprés Nails to create a milky set completed with a pearl charm.
Emma Chamberlain
As a Met Gala correspondent, Emma Chamberlain brought the drama with an art deco nail look. Dreamed up by Tom Bachik and Aprés Nails, the multi-colored nails serve as a continuum of her hand-painted Mugler dress.
Beyoncé
Naturally, Beyoncé‘s Met Gala return meant incredible nails created by Angel My Linh and Aprés Nails. Mirroring her Robert Wun gown, the look included a stiletto silhouette paired with the same crystals from her gown.
Alysa Liu
For Alysa Liu‘s Met Gala debut, her nail artist Betina Goldstein created jeweled nails with GelBottle products. “Inspired by the ethereal clarity and sparkle of a glass slipper, we created this high-shine, translucent look,” Goldstein says.
Lisa
Taking cues from her sculptural dress by Robert Wun, Lisa‘s nail artist Juan Alvear executed a Kiss Nails look dripping in jewels. “In this case, the nails drew inspiration from the Bvlgari jewelry freezing over,” Alvear says.
Blue Ivy
Made possible by Miho Okawara and OPI, Blue Ivy sported a French manicure featuring Swarovski crystals. “She loves nail art, so I wanted the design to feel true to her personality while still elevated,” Okawara says.
Charli XCX
Charli XCX‘s Met Gala nails prove that simple nails can be just as impactful. By Naomi Yasuda and Aprés Nails, the look leaned into the moody vibes of her gown. “Dark red is a timeless choice for the red carpet. It always looks chic and classic,” Yasuda says.
