Herbar's First Lip Balm Is a Love Letter to Asia

Mushroom-led skincare brand Herbar has just announced its first-ever lip treatment: The Lip Butter. The hybrid product is said to clinically repair the skin barrier while boosting hydration. Plus, for fans of flavored lip care, the brand is launching three new Asian-inspired scents.
Formulated with high-performing ingredients like the rest of Herbar’s lineup, The Lip Butter is designed to nourish lips the same way our skincare routines do. It promises to deliver a soft, luminous finish without sacrificing repair — thanks to skin-loving ingredients like a peptide complex for firmness, ceramides to rebuild the lip barrier and lactic acid to smooth texture.
When it comes to the new flavors, “Black Sesame” is a deep, nutty, gently toasted clear balm inspired by black sesame mochi, “Mooncake” is a warm, buttery brown shade reminiscent of red bean mooncake and “Jujube” is a light, fruity red inspired by jujube tea. Each flavor nods to Traditional Chinese Medicine and founder Rui Liu’s own upbringing in China.
The Lip Butter will be available for purchase on the brand’s website starting in October.
