A’ja Wilson’s New Nike A’Two Is a Love Letter to Susie Carmichael

Bringing MVP energy to a ’90s classic.

Las Vegas Aces superstar and reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson is bringing ultimate 1990s nostalgia straight to the hardwood. During a high-stakes Commissioner’s Cup game against the Golden State Valkyries, the basketball icon debuted a new Player Exclusive of her signature sneaker: the Nike A’Two “Susie Carmichael.”

As a self-proclaimed superfan of Nickelodeon’s classic cartoon Rugrats, Wilson used her signature model to pay homage to one of the show’s most beloved characters. The sneaker’s upper perfectly translates Susie’s iconic outfit into a court-ready masterpiece, featuring a vibrant yellow base adorned with a playful purple flower pattern to mirror her signature dress. Striking pops of red on the tongue, heel tabs and lateral Swoosh nod to Susie’s red hair clips, while a rich green sockliner mimics her bracelet.

Unfortunately, as much as we all want to channel our inner Rugrat this summer, this non-retail player edition is exclusively for Wilson to run circles around her opponents on the court. Despite being a bespoke pair for the GOAT herself, Nike and Wilson pulled out all the stops for this one. More cartoons on the court, please.

In other news, Nike and Forget-Me-Nots are going pink this summer.
