Noir Kei Ninomiya Covers the PUMA Speedcat in Romantic Roses

A high fashion upgrade to the internet’s favorite sneaker.

If you’ve been online this past year, you already know the PUMA Speedcat has been taking over our feeds. Now, Japanese label noir kei ninomiya is elevating the classic motorsport silhouette into something truly breathtaking. First previewed on the runway at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, the collaboration transforms the beloved low-profile sneaker into a wearable, three-dimensional piece of art.

Known for experimental construction and avant-garde craftsmanship, noir kei ninomiya gives the shoe’s sleek upper a floral makeover. A dense array of translucent rose appliqués blooms across the entire upper, creating an expressive texture that effortlessly blurs the line between high fashion, art and footwear.

The romantic capsule arrives in three monochromatic colorways: classic black, white, and a vibrant crimson red. While the sleek black speaks directly to the designer’s signature dark aesthetic, the ethereal white and rich red hues pay a subtle, poetic homage to the cherry blossoms that signal spring in Japan. Already on everyone’s wishlist, this dream-like drop brings a soft, feminine edge to one of the hottest sneakers of recent years.

The PUMA x noir kei ninomiya Speedcat was released on August 5 via noir kei ninomiya in Japan, but fans around the world can look forward to a phased global rollout at select retailers throughout the rest of August.

In other news, Timberland brought back its archival “Concrete” colorway.
