FILA's Disruptor 2 Has Been Crowned the Shoe of the Year 2018
The chunky silhouette tops picks from Reebok and Nike.
Footwear News has chosen FILA‘s Disruptor 2 as the Shoe of the Year 2018. The chunky silhouette receives the same honor as Virgil Abloh x Nike’s Air Jordan 1 which was the 2017 recipient.
FILA will accept the waward at the 2018 FN Achievement Awards which take place on December 2 at the IAC headquarters. Other honorees include Kerby Jean-Raymond whose Pyer Moss x Reebok DMX Fusion 1 Experiment earned him the Collaborator of the Year award. Allbirds has been noted as the Brand of the Year and Amina Muaddi earns the Launch of the Year.
The Disruptor 2 has long been a sneakerhead favorite making its way into our list as the top white sneaker of 2018, top sneaker of the spring season and one of the best sneakers of 2017. Tune into the ceremony later this year to watch your favorite footwear designers receive their awards.
