The late rapper’s friends including Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak and more will be performing at the concert.
Almost a month after Mac Miller‘s untimely passing, friends of the late rapper including SZA, Travis Scott and Chance the Rapper have announced that they will be paying tribute to Miller at an upcoming benefit.
Titled “A Celebration of Life,” the concert is hosted by Miller’s family and 4 Strikes management and will be held on October 31 at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Notably, the show will benefit and honor the launch of the Mac Miller Circles Fund (MMCF), which will offer ”programming, resources and opportunities to youth from underserved communities, helping them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building.” In addition to the aforementioned acts, artists such as Anderson .Paak, John Mayer, Vince Staples, Miguel, Schoolboy Q and more will also be performing at the concert.
“The support we’ve experienced is evident in this amazing line-up and is a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life,” said Karen Meyers, mother to Miller, who was born Malcolm McCormick. She continued,
“His Father, brother and I are beyond thankful to everyone who is working to make this concert happen along with every fan and every friend for continuing to support Malcolm and his vision. He was a caring, loving human with a smile that could light up the sky and a soul that was out to make the world a kinder place and the MMCF will continue to do just that.”
Priced between $39.50 USD and $500 USD, tickets to the benefit will be going on sale on October 5. Head to ticketmaster.com for more information.
