Apple Users Are Now Reporting iPhone XS Charging Issues
Following up on poor cellular and Wi-Fi reception.
Last week, users reported poor cellular and Wi-Fi reception with the iPhone XS and XS Max. The latest complaints circulating on MacRumors and Apple Support now concern charging issues and according to some users, phones aren’t charging when the Lightning cable is plugged in, while the device is asleep.
According to The Verge, the problem potentially lays in a bug that could be related to the phone’s USB accessory settings, that requires iPhones to be unlocked in order to start charging. Solutions have included updating to iOS 12.1-beta, which have reportedly, eliminated the issue completely or turning on “USB Accessories,” in the “Access access when locked” setting.
