French designer Marine Serre won the coveted LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers back in 2017, and this year the creative took to Paris Fashion Week to showcase her Spring/Summer 2019 range. The collection was her sophomore runway debut, and managed to capture the eyes of critics and fashion enthusiasts alike and received praise for her unique and eye-catching line. She also revealed an exclusive collaboration with Converse – and that’s just the start for the young designer.
We had the chance to catch Marine Serre at her MATCHESFASHION event in London, where she told us more about her SS19 collection and pieces designed exclusively for the retailer. Showcasing everything from up-cycled dresses, to ball-shaped bags and printed, skin-tight graphic tops, the collection proved that she’s one to watch. Serre tells us all about how she got introduced to fashion, and expressing herself through clothes, as well as how she finds inspiration.
