Acne Studios Opens First Flagship Store in China's Capital
Minimalism at its core.
Acne Studios prepares to open its next store in none other than China‘s capital, Beijing. The brand expanded into China two years ago, and now marks its third store in the region overall.
The interiors harmonize straight lines with glass in a concept that translated into lacquered, high gloss white walls, contrasted by stainless steel rails and shelves. Standing inside its center is a large sculptural display by British designer Max Lamb, painted in an expressive gradient based on Acne Studios’ iconic pink. Custom purple & indigo rugs by Lamb complete with a cozy touch that builds on the store’s muted character.
About the opening Creative Director Jonny Johansson said:
“I am truly happy to finally present the Acne Studios universe in Beijing – it has long been my dream. It is also my hope that this store will bring us the opportunity to create many special projects in the future.”
To celebrate the store, the brand is releasing exclusive products, that can be purchased both in-store and online in China only – they include outwear and small leather goods that bear a hidden, lucky message to commemorate the occasion.
