Rihanna
It is without question that Rihanna has had a massive year. From makeup to fashion to lingerie, the star’s various entrepreneurial endeavors have been nothing short of cult-status hits. However, one question might be a lingering topic among her fans: when will RiRi drop new music? For those who have been asking, we may finally have an answer.
After the Bad Gal herself took to Instagram to share numerous posts of her new Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle lipsticks, one user asked, “But when is the new album dropping Robyn? Can we have a release date for that?” Quite unexpectedly, Rihanna actually responds to the comment with: “2019.”
Although details surrounding the project are still sparse, the subtle announcement certainly does have fans elated, with two years having passed since the release of her last studio album ANTI, which was launched back in 2016. For those who have been keeping up with developments however, you’ll remember that her vocal producer Kuk Harrell teased in a live Instagram video last week that her forthcoming album “is amazing. It’s incredible, and that’s all I’m going to say.” This is, of course, after her announcement made earlier this year that she was in fact back in the studio, as well as the rumor that her next record would be a reggae one.
The alleged 2019 project will be Rihanna’s ninth studio album. Stay tuned here as we find out more. For more from Rihanna, don’t miss our review of her latest Fenty Beauty “Fu$$y” Gloss Bomb.
