Here's an Official Look at the Upcoming ACRONYM x Nike Air VaporMax
Three cool colorways to choose from.
With Air Max Day only a short while away, Nike has officially unveiled one of its heavily anticipated releases –the ACRONYM x Nike Air Vapormax Moc 2.
The ambitious Air VaporMax silhouette has undoubtedly become one of the brands most in-demand styles since it was released, and Errolson Hugh has reimagined the futuristic sneaker in three new colorways that “ that evoke the art of disguise and an unexpected vision of the future,” according to Nike.
The official names for each sneaker are just as cool –“Thirsty Bandit” (Sail/ Cargo Khaki/ Dark Stucco) “Johnny’s Icy Passage” (Light Bone/Volt/ Light Bone) and “The Illusional ‘Ja” (Black/Volt). Each iteration adopts a sleek, laceless approach and the design combines ACRONYM’s industrial-inspired aesthetic with Nike’s revolutionary Flyknit technology. The textured uppers adopt graphic camo prints in greyscale tones, and each features bold hits of color, ranging from a neon green and highlighter yellow to bright coral. There are co-branded details on the lateral and modified heel clip on all the shoes and of course, the now iconic, completely visible Air Max midsole completes the look.
The “Johnny’s Icy Passage” colorway is set to release at select Swoosh accounts on March 24 and will be dropping on Nike SNKRS on Air Max Day, March 26. Stay tuned for more info on the other colorways – for more Nike news, check out our deep-dive on the Air Max 270.
