51PERCENT Releases Its Retro-Futuristic Spring/Summer 2018 Lookbook
Influenced by streetwear and military apparel.
Korean label 51PERCENT launches its Spring/Summer 2018 collection which is filled with an array of futuristic-inspired pieces. The range titled “UNCONSCIOUS – DESIRES” is influenced by streetwear in addition to military apparel.
Throughout the collection, there is a major focus on graphics on the otherwise tonal clothing. Branding is seen emblazoned on the garments paired with vibrant detailing. Standouts in the drop include: the white Detailed PK shirt, the Oversized Cross bag and the black Enamel Coach jacket made of polyurethane which each align perfectly with 51PERCENT’s casual design cues. The militaristic motif is seen in accessories, which range from zippered hats and shoulder bags to shirts with bold stitching. Utility belts, ultra-high boots, silver-tone chains and a metallic silver handbag round out the new age styling. The lookbook is strikingly on-trend and reminds us of any scene out of The Matrix.
