Luxury brand Balenciaga has taken on a real tongue-in-cheek approach to fashion under the helm of creative director Demna Gvasalia. Case in point – these thigh-high dollar-print Knife boots, alphabet earrings and now, this shirt seemingly inspired by the timeless household essential, the trash bag.
Fittingly dubbed the Bin shirt, this oversized button-up has short sleeves and a pointed collar. Contrary to its name, its crafted in Italy from a shiny, water-repellent fabric rather than the plastic you may assume it’s made from at first glance. The dipped hem gives the silhouette an elongated shape at the back and Balenciaga’s text logo is spelled out in metallic gold on the chest and across the back. If you’re feeling the chill, why not pair this shirt with a huge – and cozy – Balenciaga puffer jacket.
You can shop this chic shirt now at retailers like Browns for £645 (approx. $885 USD) or SSENSE for $850 USD. For a more wearable Balenciaga look, be sure to check out the brand’s new springtime hoodies and its BB logo dad cap.
