Le Specs Taps BFA Award Winner Jordan Askill for Its Latest Collaboration

Le Specs were behind one of the biggest trends on Instagram last year, releasing its now iconic “The Last Lolita” shades that were sported by celebrities like Zoe Kravitz, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner to name a few. The sunglasses were a collaboration with designer Adam Selman, who alongside the eyewear label debuted a range of statement shades that instantly blew up. Now, Le Specs is back with a brand-new collaboration with jewelry designer Jordan Askill.
The 12-piece limited edition collection features a series of bold frames following a strictly black and gold color palette, with timeless designs that are perfect for everyday wear. All shades come in a clean black hue, with gold details emblazoned on the arms of the eyewear. The designs feature the “Bande Hardware,” inspired by Le Specs’ striped logo, as well as a “Panthère Hardware” depicting a leaping panther in gold, contrasting against the dark hue. New York-based Jordan Askill was the 2015 British Fashion Award Winner for Emerging Accessory Design, as well as the first jewelry designer to win a British Fashion Award in over five years. In 2017, Askill was also announced as one of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists, and it is clear to say that the designer isn’t planning on slowing down any time soon.
