Go Backstage for a Closer Look at Dior's Cruise 2019 Collection

Exquisitely-made earrings, hats, handbags and more.

Despite an unexpected downpour, Dior managed to pull off the most stunning Cruise 2019 runway at the historic stables, Grandes Écuries of the Domaine de Chantilly in France. Paying tribute to the escaramuza riders — Mexico’s female riders that compete in the male-dominated rodeos — the show was filled with equestrian references, made up of flowy dresses, wide, emblazoned belts, leather gloves, tasseled handbags and big hats in Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s go-to blue hue.

Having already seen some of the best looks from the collection, we now head backstage for a closer look at the intricate details of the beautiful ensembles. Models including House muse Ruth Bell were styled with mismatched, statement earrings characterized by animalistic motifs. Gold-tone jewelry including bracelets, rings and necklaces come in a variety of designs, while the belts are adorned with different embroidered patterns. From an updated iteration of the beloved J’adior Flap Bag to the recently revived Saddle Bag, the accessories featured in the collection are simply to die for. Scroll through the gallery above to see it for yourself.

At the show, the brand’s in-house cosmetics line Dior Makeup also unveiled its new Backstage collection, which includes a foundation arriving in 40 different shades. Learn more about the beauty range over here.
