Naked and New Balance Team up on a Perfectly Peachy Dad Shoe
A summery update on this season’s biggest trend.
By now, we’re all fully aware that the chunky, dad shoe trend isn’t going anywhere fast. Between Balenciaga‘s instant-sellout Triple-S sneakers, Nike’s M2K Tekno and the resurgence of the ultimate ’90s kicks, Skechers, there’s an oversized style to suit every budget.
To celebrate summer, our favorite Danish sneaker store, Naked, has joined forces with the OG dad sneaker brand, New Balance to reimagine the legendary 991 silhouette. The leather and mesh upper is overtaken in a dream, pastel “Peach Parfait” hue and features tonal laces with co-branded details on the aglets. Black elements on the heel and in the text branding brings an edgy contrast to the look, which is completed with New Balance’s standout N logo in reflective silver on the lateral.
The on-trend sneaker sits comfortably atop a white Abzorb midsole that boasts a black speckled design, whilst small highlights of peach and a black outsole round out the style.
You can shop the New Balance 991 “Peach Parfait” exclusively at naked.com and in it’s Copenhagen and Aarhus stores on May 25. The kicks will retail for €220 EUR (approx. $260 USD), but act fast, they won’t be around for long.
