The actress wore the luxury fashion house to the 2018 Met Gala.

Givenchy Parfum has unveiled Rooney Mara as the face of a new perfume launching under Givenchy Beauty. Just last night, the actress donned a regal blue and silver gown by the luxury fashion house with matching eye makeup. Mara is well known for her roles in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Carol and A Ghost Story.

Givenchy was the designer of choice for her red carpet premiere look for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo back in 2011. Throughout her acting career, she has been nominated for two Oscars. In her personal life, Mara is a practicing vegan and according to Vogue she also aims to only wear ethically conscious clothing.

Romain Spitzer, Givenchy Parfums CEO, shared in a statement why Mara is the right fit for brand:

“Rooney is a captivating actress with a remarkable talent. Her committed and generous personality, elegant look and radiating intensity perfectly reflect the world of the new fragrance she will embody from Autumn 2018 onwards.”

In the past, faces of the Givenchy Parfum have included French actress De Laâge and American actress Liv Tyler. This September, Givenchy Beauty will release a new fragrance which Mara will be the face of. Stay tuned.
