Balenciaga Drops a Stripped-Back Iteration of Its Iconic Platform Crocs

You won’t have missed that Balenciaga revealed a series of head-turning platform Crocs for its Spring/Summer 2018 show, and now the shoes have officially hit shelves across the world. Previously arriving in eye-catching hues like pink and yellow, complete with tacky fashion embellishments all over, the extreme silhouette now gets a minimal makeover.
Just in time for summer, the Demna Gvasalia-led label has dropped a pair of the chunky sandals, this time coming in an all-black hue without any added details. The rubber slip-on silhouette features a 4.5-inch platform, finished off with a logo-embossed slingback ankle strap and Balenciaga branding on the hardware at the sides. A minimal, yet eye-catching piece, the shoes are perfect for those looking to make a statement all throughout summer.
