Birkenstock's Arizona Sandals Just Got a Subtle Platform Update

For all the monochrome-loving minimalists.

Birkenstock is back in a major way, and hot on the heels of it’s extravagant runway presentation in Florence during Pitti Uomo Spring/Summer 2019, the brand has released two new sandals.

An update on the classic Arizona slip-ons, these minimal shoes arrive in two monochrome color options. They each boast the signature waterproof two-strap upper that features adjustable buckles for the perfect fit and Birkenstock’s engraved text logo. The comfortable and lightweight insole is ideal for those who spend a lot of time on their feet and arrives in a complementary black tone on the black sandals and in the trademark natural cork finish on the white ones. Completing each sandal is a small EVA outsole with which brings a subtle platform lift to the shoe and adds an element of edginess thanks to the softly knobbly effect at the bottom.

You can cop these wardrobe staples from retailers like JD Sports for £55 GBP (approx. $73 USD). For a shinier alternative, check out these glistening, metallic rose gold Birkenstock Arizona sandals.
