Christian Dior Is Officially the World's Largest Retailer
Closely followed by Inditex and Nike.
Each year, Forbes releases a list of the “World’s Largest Public Companies,” known as the Global 2000 list. With high-profile names like JP Morgan, Bank of America and more landing among its top-ten rankings, a list of the largest fashion and apparel companies can also be compiled using the information in the list.
Coming in at a market value of $76.4 billion USD, Christian Dior snags the spot as the world’s largest retailer. Ranked as the world’s 150th largest company, Inditex comes in at second place, with Nike sliding in at number three. The LVMH group owns 70 brands including Louis Vuitton, Céline, Fendi and Givenchy, with owner and French billionaire Bernard Arnault increasing his net-worth to $86 billion USD after acquiring Christian Dior.
