COS Presents Its Eco-Friendly "Repurposed Cotton Project"

Rethinking a garment’s full lifecycle.

COS latest creative development is the “Repurposed Cotton Project.” To create each item in the capsule, the brand decided to reuse a year’s worth of 100-percent cotton off-cutting from a long-standing supplier in Turkey.

The process of receiving the material consisted of shredding, compacting, combing, spinning, weaving, dying and re-constructing the cotton into a 100-percent cotton sweatshirt. Doing so, maximizes and acknowledges the value of cotton which is a part of COS’ goal to “find innovative solutions to utilize the full extent of the fabric.” The capsule is made up of three sweatshirts, in a classic design with a rich yellow and cream color palette.

To purchase the “Repurposed Cotton Project” head over to COS’ website on June 15.
