For his Spring/Summer 2019 collection, Korean designer Juun.J took inspiration from what he calls “Street Tailoring,” with bold and over-sized silhouettes. The collection, titled “ALTERNATIVE,” played with alternative tailoring and alternative tech, resulting in a range of futuristic and eye-catching pieces. Using a wide range of materials, the collection features chrome jackets, skirts and hats, plaid blazers and coats, as well as big and bulky jackets. Always challenging traditional ideas in menswear, Juun.J has created a unisex collection that experiments with traditional ideas of tailoring and design.
Previously showing at Seoul Fashion Week, this time around Juun.J brought his show to Paris Fashion Week Men’s and has established himself as one of the most innovative designers to keep an eye on during the week.
