JW Anderson Heads out to Sea for Resort 2019 Collection

Fashion gone nautical.

With Paris Fashion Week Men’s having recently wrapped up, we’ve already seen a slew of exceptional shows – from Virgil Abloh‘s debut at Louis Vuitton, to Kim Jones‘ premiere collection with Dior Homme. Now, we see the latest from JW Anderson in the form of a stunning Resort 2019 collection. Aligned with the designer’s hallmark aesthetic, the latest pieces play with exaggerated proportions and silhouettes. Among the impeccably tailored suit pieces is also an undeniable source of inspiration that comes from nautical uniforms such as the navy cardigan with a large sailor bow in cream at the front – not to mention the fisherman’s hat that is styled with every look. From oversized outwear pieces, to beautifully slouchy frocks, the forthcoming program is filled with an eclectic mix of garments that delicately balance refined elegance and urban sophistication.

You can view the full women’s Resort 2019 collection in the gallery above, as well as a preview of the men’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The full men’s SS19 range will debut at JW Anderson’s show in September.
