Naomi Campbell & Virgil Abloh Sit Down for an Intimate Interview
Abloh speaks on his new role and relationship with Kanye West.
British Vogue contributing editor and supermodel Naomi Campbell sat down with Virgil Abloh for a revealing interview following his Louis Vuitton debut. The two met up in Abloh’s Paris headquarters to discuss his career path and progress in the fashion industry. Between them is a Louis Vuitton throw that lies draped across the couch. Virgil sports his collaborative Nike Air Presto and Naomi chooses Nike’s new React Element 87.
Campbell peppers him with questions on his relationship with Kanye West which he shares is still intact after fourteen years. He speaks on the experience of West bringing a close group of friends to Paris to explore the fashion scene which was very different at the time. The two shared an emotional moment following the men’s Louis Vuitton show which Abloh believes was a win for the entire streetwear scene. Virgil goes on to name Phoebe Philo and Riccardo Tisci as some of his favorite designers at the moment.
