Having already seen Saint Laurent‘s sleek unisex collection comprised mostly of metallic-detailed black pieces, we now move to the complete opposite side of the fashion spectrum. Shown in Los Angeles, Jeremy Scott recently debuted his extravagant, circus-themed Spring 2019 collection for Moschino. True to its theme, the runway presentation was filled with pieces paying homage to classic carnival tropes. From ringleaders in tailored jackets and strongmen (and women) in animal print garments, to clowns wearing oversized outfits and entertainers sporting elaborate feathers, Scott definitely put on an unforgettable show.
“I see my role in fashion as bringing the fun,” says Scott about the new collection. “And what could be more fun than a circus?” Perfectly suited for the occasion, RuPaul’s Drag Race alumnus Violet Chachki can also be seen strutting down the runway, looking as glamorously fishy as ever.
