Great news, Cardi B fans: the “I Like It” artist will finally be returning to the stage to give her first performance post-pregnancy. Earlier this week, the Bronx rapper has taken to Instagram to break the news that she’ll be opening this year’s MTV VMAs, which will take place on Monday, August 20. The Invasion of Privacy star previously pulled out of Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic world tour following the birth of her and her husband Offset‘s first child, Kulture.

Not only are we eager to see Cardi’s red carpet look, but we’re also excited for all of the nominations she’s received for the event. In addition to being nominated for “Artist of the Year,” Cardi may possibly take home a number of other major awards including “Best New Artist,” “Best Hip Hop” and more.

Stay tuned as the 2018 MTV VMAs will begin at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST come August 20. Check out a list of artists who’ll also performing at the awards show here.
