In September 2018, musician and rapper Mac Miller passed away from an accidental overdose. His tragic death saw many tributes from creatives and artists all around the world, especially from his former girlfriend Ariana Grande.
Grande released her anticipated album sweetener in 2018, which included nods to her ex-boyfriend in the song “thank u, next.” “Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm, ‘Cause he was an angel,” she sings, expressing her feelings about Miller’s death. Since his passing, Grande has shared several tributes on social media, and recently posted an image of his tattooed hands on a piano. The singer has since deleted the post for unknown reasons.
