Virgil Abloh Teases Off-White™ x BAPE Sneaker at Louis Vuitton's Paris Show
An alternative to Off-White™ x Nike’s Air Force 1.
Virgil Abloh closed Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2019 presentation sporting a new, never-before-seen Off-White™ x BAPE sneaker. The low-top silhouette is similar to the brand’s OG iteration release from last year. On a black base we see the BAPE STA logo outlined in white with signature industrial branding beneath it. The upper seems to be crafted from a reptilian skin, either crocodile or alligator, giving the simple frame some flair. The text stamp details BAPE’s Tokyo locations and year of establishment, 1993. The sneaker is completed with “SHOELACE” branding that can be found on the white laces.
Take a closer look at a mock of the sneaker below and stay tuned for more information. In case you missed it, Abloh paid homage to Michael Jackson for LV’s FW19 collection.
