Apple Announces Pricier Airpods Pro, Boasting Noise Cancelling Feature

Available starting October 30.

Following an accidental leak of the Airpods 3 design, Apple has officially announced the newest version of its now-ubiquitous wireless headphones. Formally dubbed Airpods Pro, the new version boasts features such as Active Noise Cancellation Mode and Transparency Mode, allowing users to listen to audio and still hear background noise.

The Airpods Pro come with a wireless charging case and flexible in-ear tips in three different sizes. Users can toggle between different sound modes using new force sensors that can also be used to control music playback. Ideal for those accident-prone, the new version are also water resistant.

Airpods Pro retail for $249 USD and can be pre-ordered on Apple’s website as well as purchased online and in-store starting October 30.
