Nike Releases Six Air Jordan 1 Collaborations as Part of the "Fearless Ones" Collection
Featuring designs by Melody Ehsani, FACETASM, Edison Chen and more.
With the holiday season right around the corner, Nike‘s Jordan Brand has released six new collaborations of the iconic Air Jordan 1 as part of the new “Fearless Ones” collection. The Fearless collaborators include designer Melody Ehsani, New York’s culinary collective Ghetto Gastro, Los Angeles-based artist Blue the Great, cutting edge Japanese brand FACETASM, Parisian lifestyle brand Maison Château Rogue, and CLOT founder Edison Chen.
The collaborative line starts off with Ehsani’s mismatched pair of women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Mid SE where the midsole reads: “IF YOU KNEW WHAT YOU HAD WAS RARE, YOU WOULD NEVER WASTE IT.” Gastro’s Air Jordan 1 Low React design was inspired by unity and the streets of New York City, while Blue the Great’s Air Jordan 1 Mid SE arrives in primary colors in a suede and corduroy upper.
FACETASM’s AJ1’s layout takes inspiration from Tokyo and features the label’s signature crinkled look. Maison Château Rogue’s silhouette applies African-inspired design cues along with hand-stitched details in honor of its founder’s origins. Finally, Chen’s sneaker has been incorporated with a woven nylon upper and a Chinese token-inspired design detail that spells out “Jordan.”
