Take 35 Percent Off Barneys' Liquidation Sale Items For Black Friday

More than 26,000 items remain on the luxury retailer’s website.

Following the acquisition of failing luxury department store Barneys by Authentic Brands Group, the retailer will discount all of its remaining merchandise — both in-store and online — by 35 percent. The sale, which ramps up the store’s preliminary five to ten percent off, is an incentive for customers to buy up Barneys inventory before all its physical locations are closed and incorporated into Saks Fifth Avenue.

More than 26,000 items remain on the Barneys website. “It’s completely different from what we’ve seen from anyone in the past,” fashion and handbag analyst, Beth Goldstein told Business of Fashion“We don’t see discounts like this on luxury goods,” she said. Indeed, rarely discounted brands like Prada and Bottega Veneta are included in the sale. An additional departure from the traditional sales model, which usually discounts unsold items from past seasons, Barneys’ 35 percent off also applies to recently stocked items.

The Barneys liquidation sale begins today, November 27, online and in-store. Keep in mind that returns and gift cards are no longer accepted. Stay tuned as the store will likely offer further discounts.
